Everyone told me and I'm starting to realize what they were talking about, "It's the little stuff, the final details that take the longest". I don't know if it's really that they are taking a long time or that I am just so very anxious to move in that is making it seem like an eternity.
The past week we did have alot of progress, all of the cabinets have been installed - the majority do not have doors or drawers yet. Nearly all of the counter tops are in. All of the concrete work is complete. What's left to do? The stairs, plumbing, lighting, more trim work. Pete has been working really hard on the trim and what is left to complete are those things out of his control. We're still waiting on some of the trim to be delivered and then it will still need to be painted. The guy we hired to do our staircase broke his leg over the weekend, so we are trying to find someone else who will have time within the next week. It will all come together and we'll be moving before we know it - hopefully the first weekend in March.
