I spent the weekend in St Louis celebrating Roxanne's "pre-wedding". We did all kinds of girl things we don't have the opportunity to do nearly often enough! Friday evening we checked into our hotel, we had a great suite with lots of extra room and a great view. We headed to Mizu (not Mizzou, although it's pronounced exactly the same) for sushi and cocktails. We happened to be sitting next to a couple of ESPN employees who were in town for the Women's Final Four. This explained several of the guests at our hotel, later to find out the same hotel was hosting a Women's Basketball Coaching Conventions. Then we headed to a Drag Show, the performers were really awful, but we had allot of good laughs! Last stop Club Lure, very upscale...allot of white leather sofas and Grey Goose. We may have stood out just a little, none the less we enjoyed ourselves!
Saturday was a beautiful day! We did a little walking downtown, had lunch, shopped, got asked a million times if I played basketball. Since when does being 6 foot tall automatically mean you must be an athlete?! Little did I know that was only the beginning of the basketball questioning. That evening we had dinner near Frotnac (did I spell that correctly?!), what a nice neighborhood. Then we headed to the Fox Theatre for STOMP, it was a great show. We wrapped up the evening, or more appropriately early morning with drinks, dancing, drinks and more drinks. What a wonderful girl's weekend, but it was great to be back home with my boys!
