Last week was super busy getting all of the finishing touches ready before the move.... There was alot of cleaning to be done, last minute plumbing, dirt work, grass seed sowing and of course the wallpaper. I had no idea mom and dad were such wallpaper experts, I was blown away. It turned out beautifully! Another hidden talent they'd kept from me. The guys spent several long days raking the yard and getting it all ready for grass to start growing. The wind got the best of them and at times I think there may have been more straw on them than on the ground!
We moved over the weekend, again we had great help and couldn't have done it without them. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you who helped, we're so fortunate to have such a wonderful family and excellent group of friends!
I was able to unpack the final box last night, whew! I needed a hot bath and a glass of wine after to unwind and let the idea of being "home" sink in. I'm sure there will be alot of moving things around, trying to get organized. We are starting to get settled and once I get up the nerve to hang a few pictures on the wall it will really feel like home. We plan to spend most of our free time enjoying being in our new home, so come by and visit. We'd love to have you!
